A parking card for persons with disabilities is always linked to the permit holder, who must be transported in the vehicle in which the permit is used. Parking cards for persons with disabilities are issued by the relevant municipal authority. In order for a person to be issued with a parking card for persons with disabilities, they must be a holder of the Czech Card for Persons with Severe Disabilities.
Each municipality is responsible for ensuring the availability of designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities. Municipalities are familiar with local conditions and determine the location and number of designated parking spaces accordingly.
Each municipality decides for itself whether parking for persons with disabilities will be subject to a fee in certain locations or whether they will be exempt from this fee.
A parking card for persons with disabilities must be issued by an authorized authority abroad.
Within the EU, the validity of the European parking card for persons with disabilities is mutually recognized. As a holder of this card, you can park in reserved parking spaces.
In the case of countries outside the EU, it is necessary to verify whether the country has concluded a bilateral legal assistance agreement with the Czech Republic or whether it has acceded to the Hague Convention. In such a case, it is necessary to undergo a verification process, which consists of providing an “”Apostille”” verification clause and subsequently an official translation into Czech.
