PART 2 - PARKING CARDS

Eligibility for disability parking cards

1) persons determined as eligible for reimbursement of costs of a passenger car or its technical adaptation.
2) persons determined to have a severe or moderate disability.
3) persons with a level of participation below 25 percent.
4) persons with a level of participation ranging from 30 percent to 55 percent who have a valid document certifying their right to drive a car and who, due to disability resulting from an illness, make regular use of assistive mobility technology, such as a wheelchair for persons with disabilities or walking aids, such as walking sticks, crutches, walkers or other assistive walking devices.

Reserved parking space availability

Reserved parking spaces are marked with the road sign “Parking space” and the additional panel”People with a disability”.
Reserved parking spaces can be marked with a road marking illustrating a wheelchair symbol.
Reserved parking spaces are near shopping centers, healthcare institutions, public service institutions, etc.

Parking concessions for people with disabilities

According to the Road TrafficRules, a driver driving a vehicle marked with a distinctive sign “Person with disability” or a parking card for a person with disabilities is allowed to enter the zone marked with “NoTraffic” and “No Motor Vehicle Traffic” road signs. A driver whose vehicle bears the distinctive sign “Person with disability” or a parking card for disabled persons is permitted to:
1. disregard the requirements of the road signs “Parking for a limited time” and “Parking for a specified time”;
2. stop and stand in the area of validity of the road signs “No stopping”, “No parking” and / or at the horizontal marking lines 1.4 or 1.9 drawn at the edge of the carriageway.
